Quarterly earnings and income decline year over year
Bank OZK posted Q2 2026 diluted EPS of $1.49, down 5.7% from a year earlier; net income to common holders fell 8.7% to $163.3 million.
Profit rose 2.5% from Q1 2026, while EPS increased 3.5% versus the prior quarter.
For the first six months of 2026, net income to common holders declined 7.0% to $322.6 million; EPS slipped 3.9% to $2.93.
CEO cites margins, efficiency and balance-sheet progress
CEO George Gleason cited Q2 return on assets of 1.60%, net interest margin of 4.24%, and an efficiency ratio of 39.2%.
Management said it made progress diversifying the loan portfolio, alongside increases in book value, tangible book value per share, and capital ratios.
