Barrick names Sebastiaan Bock CEO, Rest of World operations
GOLD•Barrick names new Rest of World CEO
Barrick appointed Sebastiaan Bock chief executive officer, Rest of World, effective immediately. He will report to CEO Mark Hill.
Bock joined Barrick in January 2019 as senior vice president and CFO for Africa and Middle East. He was named COO for the region in July 2022.
Role covers gold and copper operations outside North America
The role covers Barrick's gold and copper operations outside North America. The portfolio produces over 2 million gold equivalent ounces annually.
Barrick said production is expected to rise more than 20% over the next three years, driven by projects across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
