Base Electron confidentially files for US IPO
APLD•Power infrastructure firm Base Electron said it confidentially filed for a U.S. initial public offering. The number of shares and price range have not been determined.

Base Electron said on Friday it had confidentially filed for a U.S. initial public offering. The company has not determined the number of shares to be offered or the price range.
2. Power projects
Applied Digital formed Base Electron to supply power to its AI campuses under separate agreements. Base Electron develops, owns and operates energy infrastructure for data centers, AI facilities and large industrial users. In March, it approved a $2.4 billion agreement with Babcock & Wilcox for equipment supporting a 1.2-gigawatt project serving Applied Digital's AI campuses.
3. Industry spending
Global cumulative spending on data centers alone could top $30 trillion by 2050, a projection by PwC said.
