BASF files patent lawsuit against Apple

Sept. 3 (Reuters) - BASF BASFn.DE sued Apple AAPL.O on Thursday, accusing the iPhone maker of infringing the German company's patented face authentication technology in dozens of iPhone and iPad models.

The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court in Midland, Texas.
