BayCom turns to Q2 net loss of $7 million; six-month net income drops 89.9% to $1.2 million in FY26

BayCom posted a net loss of $7 million in Q2 2026, swinging from net income of $6.4 million a year earlier.
- Net interest income rose 2.5% to $23.7 million; net interest margin widened 18 percentage points to 3.95%.
- Provision for credit losses jumped to $5.2 million from $203,000.
- Noninterest expense surged 72.4% to $27.2 million, including $10.5 million in executive departure-related severance and benefit costs.
Credit quality and six-month performance
- Nonperforming loans fell $3.6 million to $9.8 million, or 0.47% of total loans, while allowance for credit losses increased to $23 million.
- For the first six months of FY26, net income dropped 89.9% to $1.2 million.
