BBVA channeled EUR 82 billion into sustainable business in H1 2026, up 38% year on year.
- Environmental activity reached EUR 63 billion, or 76% of the total; social activity totaled EUR 19 billion, or 24%.
- Spain accounted for 34% of the total; Mexico 16%; Turkey 12%.
- Financing and transaction banking made up 86% of the total; capital markets contributed 10%; project finance 4%.
- Wholesale clients delivered EUR 42 billion, up 29%; business and institutions EUR 30 billion, up 48%; retail EUR 10 billion, up 54%.
