BBVA•BBVA received Japanese regulatory clearance to launch BBVA Japan Securities Limited, expanding its institutional distribution platform. The unit will distribute structured credit products, initially focused on Mexico, the U.S. and Spain.
BBVA secured clearance to launch BBVA Japan Securities Limited, with registrations for Type I Financial Instruments Business dated Aug. 31. The entity joined the Japan Securities Dealers Association on Sept. 30, enabling regulated local access for Japanese institutional investors. It will distribute structured credit products from BBVA’s global platform, initially focused on Mexico, the U.S. and Spain.
