BBVA overhauled senior management to streamline operations and accelerate an AI-driven transformation; changes take effect Sept. 1.
- José Luis Elechiguerra, head of global risk management, will become country manager in Mexico, replacing Eduardo Osuna; Osuna will become board chairman.
- Pablo Pastor, head of risk for South America and Turkiye, will take over global risk management; Rocio Pérez becomes global head of compliance and internal control.
- Gonzalo Rodriguez, head of retail banking in Spain, will become chief financial officer, replacing Luisa Gomez Bravo.
- Victoria del Castillo moves from strategy and M&A to lead talent and culture; Roberto Albaladejo takes over strategy and M&A from global clients coverage.
