BCGE flags “automation premium” as AI, robotics widen productivity gains across sectors
SPY•BCGE said AI and robotics could lift productivity, margins, cash flow and valuations for effective adopters, with the largest unrealized automation upside in information technology, industrials and health care.

BCGE framed the “Automation Gap” as unrealized automation upside shaped by labor-cost intensity, current productivity, automatable tasks and regulation. Information technology, industrials and health care had the highest scores, while energy and utilities ranked lowest. Financials had the highest automation potential but a smaller gap because of high existing productivity; BCGE said their margin expansion potential remained among the strongest.
