Beamr Imaging partnered with Intempora, a dSPACE unit, to integrate real-time ML-Safe lossless compression into RTMaps for autonomous vehicle video pipelines.
The collaboration targets point-of-capture compression on test-vehicle GPUs, cutting storage and transfer burdens without data loss for 12-bit Bayer camera output.
Initial Beamr tests showed a 47% data reduction across eight 8-megapixel cameras, nearly doubling per-vehicle capture capacity.
RTMaps users also gain Beamr’s content-adaptive compression option, designed to reduce video load by up to 50% while preserving ML accuracy.
The technology will be demonstrated at AutoSens Europe on Sept. 22-24 and at the dSPACE User Conference on Sept. 23.
