BETA Chosen for Seven FAA eVTOL Pilot Programs Covering 10 States

BETA was selected for seven of eight FAA eVTOL Integration Pilot Program slots, the most of any developer, and will begin CTOL then VTOL operations in at least ten states including New York, Texas and Florida. Its production facility is online and ALIA aircraft have flown 125,000 nautical miles.

1. eVTOL Integration Pilot Program Selection

BETA was selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation and FAA to participate in seven of eight eVTOL Integration Pilot Program launch slots, the highest count among electric aircraft developers, with plans to begin conventional takeoff and landing operations followed by vertical takeoff and landing flights.

2. States and Mission Profiles

Under the program, BETA will operate across at least ten states—including New York, Texas, Utah, Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina—with missions spanning cargo, medical logistics and organ delivery in partnership with Metro Aviation, Bristow Group, United Therapeutics, UPS and other operators.

3. Production and Flight Readiness

The company’s Burlington production facility is operational, its ALIA family has logged 125,000 nautical miles, and a network of more than 50 charging sites is active across the U.S. and Canada, supporting its phased CTOL-to-VTOL deployment strategy.
