Better interim CEO Lewis urges shareholders to back White card, block Vishal Garg bid to retake board control
BETR•Lewis asks shareholders to support WHITE consent revocation card
Better entered a board-control fight as interim CEO Daniel Lewis urged shareholders to revoke consents sought by founder Vishal Garg.
The letter urged support for a WHITE consent revocation card to block the Garg group’s effort to remove directors.
CEO cites cost cuts, operational progress and UK bank sale efforts
Lewis said the board replaced Garg due to revenue declines, missed targets, and weak strategic discipline.
He cited more than USD 45 million in annualized cost cuts, improved engineering output, and progress toward a UK bank sale.
Lewis also said an independent CEO search is underway, warning candidates have declined to engage due to concerns over Garg’s influence.
