Founder seeks board reshuffle as special committee fights back
Better’s board special committee launched a consent-revocation campaign to block founder-director Vishal Garg’s written-consent bid to reshape the board.
Garg is seeking stockholder consents to remove five of eight directors, handing remaining directors power to appoint replacements.
The committee urges investors to reject the effort and return a white revocation card to overturn any prior support.
Directors removed would include interim CEO Daniel Lewis, risking Nasdaq committee independence compliance and disrupting the leadership transition.
Better sued Garg on Aug. 18, 2026, alleging undisclosed group activity and misleading consent solicitations claiming majority backing.
