Bimergen Energy closed the sale of the 100 MW/400 MWh Redbird battery storage project near Houston and two Texas 10s/80 MWh projects.
The transaction with FPU-BEC Development Topco, an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management’s Frontier Power & Utilities, closed July 15, 2026.
Bimergen Energy received USD 6.4 million in cash and expects another USD 2.5 million tied to Redbird milestone achievements.
The company retained a 7.5% equity stake in the 480 MWh ERCOT portfolio. The projects are expected to use Eos Energy Z3 long-duration batteries.
