BioAge Labs began dosing the first participant in QUELL-DME, a Phase 2 trial of oral NLRP3 inhibitor BGE-102 for diabetic macular edema.
- Results have not been presented; topline data are expected in the second half of 2027.
- The study will assess whether daily oral treatment can improve vision, used alone or alongside standard anti-VEGF eye injections.
