BioVie’s bezisterim shows trend toward symptom improvement in Phase 2 Long COVID trial
BIVI•BioVie said bezisterim showed a consistent trend toward improvement versus placebo across most patient-reported symptoms and objective measures in its Phase 2 ADDRESS-LC Long COVID trial. It will present the findings on November 5, 2026, at the RECOVER-TLC workshop.
1. Trial findings
BioVie said bezisterim showed a consistent trend toward improvement versus placebo across most patient-reported symptoms and objective measures. Patients with greater baseline symptom severity benefited most, with statistically significant improvements in measures corresponding to their most pronounced symptoms. Safety and tolerability were similar to placebo.
2. Next steps
BioVie said the findings provide a foundation for designing a confirmatory Phase 3 study. It plans to present the Phase 2 ADDRESS-LC results on November 5, 2026, at the RECOVER-TLC workshop.
