Bioxytran says Phase 2 trial of ProLectin-M drives SARS-CoV-2 viral load below detection by day seven
BIXT•Phase 2 dose-optimization results
Phase 2 dose-optimization data showed viral load below the assay’s detection limit in 100% of patients by day 7.
At day 5, 88.9% on the highest dose had non-detectable viral RNA versus 20% on placebo (p≈0.001), with no viral rebounds over 14 days.
ProLectin-M antiviral development
ProLectin-M, an investigational oral galectin antagonist, is being optimized with the ASI platform for broad-spectrum antiviral activity.
Sponsored research agreement with University of Minnesota
Bioxytran executed a second sponsored research agreement with the University of Minnesota’s Chemistry Department to advance polysaccharide and oligosaccharide binding studies.
Work will pair the company’s ASI-driven carbohydrate design platform with structural biology and NMR to validate target binding, conformation, and affinity.
