Bitcoin Depot Appoints Tony Gagliardi CCO, Rolls Out ID Verification to 9,000 Kiosks

Bitcoin Depot named Tony Gagliardi Chief Compliance Officer on April 8, 2026, to oversee AML, KYC, licensing, transaction monitoring and consumer protection programs. In February the company rolled out per-transaction ID verification across more than 9,000 kiosks, strengthening its compliance framework as regulatory requirements evolve.

1. Appointment of Chief Compliance Officer

Bitcoin Depot appointed Tony Gagliardi as Chief Compliance Officer effective April 8, 2026. He will report directly to CEO Alex Holmes and lead the company’s global compliance strategy.

2. Responsibilities and Expertise

Gagliardi brings over 15 years of experience in AML, fraud and sanctions programs, having navigated more than 12 major regulatory remediations and held senior compliance roles at OKX, Paxos, Coinbase, HSBC and Standard Chartered.

3. ID Verification Rollout

In February Bitcoin Depot initiated per-transaction identification verification across its network of over 9,000 kiosks, enhancing anti-money laundering, Know-Your-Customer and consumer protection measures as state and federal requirements advance.
