Bitdeer Engages DCI for 180 MW Nvidia AI Data Center in Norway
Bitdeer’s subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS has engaged Data Center Installations AS to develop a 180 MW AI data center in Norway for co-location of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin technology, with completion expected by December 2026. Upon commissioning, the facility will be the country’s largest AI data center and among Europe’s largest.
1. Agreement with DCI
Bitdeer's subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS has signed a binding agreement with Data Center Installations AS to convert its existing facility in Tydal, Norway into a dedicated AI data center. DCI's selection reflects its specialized experience in data center design, construction, and critical infrastructure deliverables across Norway.
2. Tydal Data Center Project
The redevelopment will yield 180 MW of gross installed capacity tailored for co-location of Nvidia's latest Vera Rubin AI technology, incorporating Nvidia's reference design for performance and efficiency. Construction is slated to complete by December 2026, positioning the Tydal site as Norway's largest and one of Europe's most capacious AI data centers.
