BTGO•BitGo Europe GmbH has been named MiCA-regulated custodian for three 21Shares crypto ETPs—Bitcoin Core ETP at 0.10% annual fee, Solana Core Staking ETP, and XRP ETP—trading on Euronext Paris and Deutsche Börse Xetra. Bitcoin has slumped 50% from its peak while 2025 crypto IPOs underperformed, underscoring a volatile market backdrop.
1. Partnership Details
BitGo Europe GmbH has secured its role as the MiCA-regulated custodian for three 21Shares crypto ETPs, extending 21Shares’ distribution to French retail investors. The agreement covers registration, safekeeping of underlying assets and compliance services under European crypto regulations.
2. ETP Offerings
The three ETPs include the Bitcoin Core ETP (CBTC) with an annual fee of 0.10%, a Solana Core Staking ETP (CSOL) that collects staking rewards net of fees, and an XRP ETP (AXRP). All products are fully collateralized by physical assets and will list on Euronext Paris and Deutsche Börse Xetra.
3. Market Context
Bitcoin’s 50% decline from peak values and the deeper underperformance of crypto IPOs in 2025 reflect ongoing volatility in digital asset markets. This market backdrop could influence asset inflows into these ETPs and the corresponding custody volumes managed by BitGo Europe.
