Biznet Deploys Ciena WaveLogic 5 Extreme for 400G Indonesia Subsea Upgrade
CIEN•Biznet deployed Ciena’s WaveLogic 5 Extreme on its BNCS-1 submarine cable to enable 400G services across Java, Sumatra and Bangka islands. The upgrade integrates Ciena 6500 platforms and Navigator Network Control Suite to boost Batam–Singapore link capacity and accelerate network automation.
1. Deployment of WaveLogic 5 Extreme
Biznet has deployed Ciena’s WaveLogic 5 Extreme on the international link of its BNCS-1 submarine cable, enabling 400G high-speed connectivity across Java, Sumatra and Bangka islands and strengthening inter-island network resilience.
2. Integration of 6500 Platforms and Automation
Ciena Services and partner Terrabit Networks supported the design and installation of Ciena 6500 platforms powered by WaveLogic 5 Extreme, while Navigator Network Control Suite provides advanced control, planning and automation for faster provisioning.
3. Upgraded International Gateway Capacity
The upgrade also boosts capacity on the Batam–Singapore subsea link, improving spectral efficiency for international traffic and ensuring more stable global service access for Biznet customers.
