BJ's Wholesale Club rises on raised annual profit forecast
BJ•Shares rise after higher full-year outlook
Shares of discount store BJ's Wholesale Club Holdings rose about 2% to $92.75 in premarket trading after the company raised its annual profit forecast, betting on strong membership growth and gasoline sales.
The company now expects full-year adjusted EPS of $4.60 to $4.80, up from $4.40 to $4.60 previously.
BJ's reported quarterly total revenue of $6.23 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $5.96 billion according to data compiled by LSEG. It also posted second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.36, topping expectations of $1.17.
Up to the last close, the stock was up about 1% year to date.
