1. Portfolio adjustments
A survey of more than 200 single-family offices across the Americas, representing nearly $500 billion in investable assets, found more than half are adjusting portfolios as market risks shift. Thirty-five percent are increasing diversification, and more than 30% plan to increase private equity exposure. More than three-quarters cite the exit environment as a concern for returns.
2. Generational differences
Nearly 40% of newer family offices plan to increase infrastructure allocations over the next 12 months, compared with just over 15% of established offices. Governance ranked above investment returns as the top challenge, while nearly two-thirds reported limited or no next-generation involvement in investment decisions.
