BlackRock Sets 0.65% Fee for iShares Bitcoin Income ETF on Nasdaq
NDAQ•BlackRock set a 65 basis point fee for its planned iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA), which will trade on Nasdaq and generate income via covered-call options on its spot Bitcoin ETF. The ETF is expected to launch soon as BlackRock races Goldman Sachs for a projected July 1 debut.
1. Nasdaq to Host New Bitcoin Income ETF
BlackRock’s planned iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF will list on Nasdaq, leveraging the exchange’s deep liquidity and established infrastructure for digital asset products. The 0.65% net asset fee positions BITA competitively against existing covered-call funds charging up to 99 basis points.
2. Race Against Goldman Sachs
BlackRock aims to launch BITA shortly, reportedly before Goldman Sachs’ similar Premium Income ETF expected around July 1. The race underscores growing demand for Bitcoin income products and could drive incremental trading and listing fees for Nasdaq.
