BLK•
BLK•BlackRock filed to launch the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA) on Nasdaq, with a 0.65% fee and covered-call options on IBIT shares to generate monthly income. The fund will hold Bitcoin and spot ETF shares, distributing option premiums as income to investors.
BlackRock submitted regulatory paperwork to offer the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, to trade under the ticker BITA on Nasdaq. The ETF’s assets will include both Bitcoin and shares of BlackRock’s existing spot Bitcoin fund, IBIT.
Each month, BITA will sell covered call options on its IBIT holdings, collecting premiums from option buyers. Those premiums will fund monthly income distributions for ETF investors.
BlackRock set BITA’s management fee at 0.65%, undercutting other covered-call Bitcoin ETFs that charge between 0.95% and 0.99%. This lower fee aims to attract investors seeking cost-effective, income-generating crypto exposure.
