BlockFuel Energy Adds Six Oklahoma Wells, Plans Eight-Well H2 2026 Drill Program
IBG•BlockFuel Energy has acquired six operated wells and associated infrastructure in Payne County, expanding its Oklahoma footprint to 61 operated wells across 55 square miles. The company plans an eight-well vertical drilling program in H2 2026, leveraging existing gathering systems and SWD facilities to cut development costs and accelerate production.
1. Acquisition Details
BlockFuel Energy acquired interests in six operated wells in Payne County, Oklahoma, including four producing horizontal oil wells, one drilled but uncompleted well and one saltwater disposal (SWD) well. The deal also includes separators, tank batteries, beam pumps, transformers, gathering systems and utility infrastructure positioned to support conventional hydrocarbon operations and future energy projects.
2. Expanded Asset Base and Infrastructure
With this purchase, BlockFuel’s operated well count rises to 61 across a 55-square-mile footprint spanning Payne, Pawnee and Noble Counties. The company now controls ten SWD wells and extensive production infrastructure, enhancing logistical efficiency and reducing field-level operating costs.
3. Planned Drilling Program
BlockFuel plans an eight-well vertical development drilling program in the second half of 2026, targeting step-out locations adjacent to existing production. By tapping into its current gathering and SWD network, management expects to significantly reduce capital expenditures and accelerate the timeline to first production.
4. Merger and Strategic Outlook
Innovation Beverage Group holds 51% of BlockFuel and is working to close a proposed merger that will integrate these assets into IBG’s broader energy infrastructure strategy. The combined entity will pursue further acquisitions, production optimization and potential renewable utility developments across its Oklahoma platform.
