Blue Moon Launches 67,000-Metre Drill Program and 18,000-Metre Core Re-logging
BMM•Blue Moon Metals will begin a 67,000-metre diamond drill program at its Nevada Springer Tungsten Project in August 2026 using six rigs and will re-log 18,000 metres of historical core. Phase 1 covers 7,000 metres of near-surface drilling; Phase 2 plans 60,000 metres at 1,000-metre depths for extension testing.
1. Program Overview
Blue Moon Metals will begin a fully permitted 67,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Springer Tungsten Project in Nevada in August 2026 using six rigs. The program aims to enhance the geological model and support resource definition ahead of a targeted Q4 2027 production ramp-up.
2. Phase Details
Phase 1 comprises approximately 7,000 metres of near-surface definition drilling at the George Pit and Sutton Underground beds with hole depths of 200–300 metres. Phase 2 will deliver roughly 60,000 metres of deeper drilling at 300–1,000 metre depths to test lateral and plunge extensions of scheelite-rich skarn zones on private and BLM land.
3. Core Re-logging and Resource Modeling
The company will re-log and re-assay 18,000 metres of historical core, of which 7,154 metres have already been processed. This program increases sampling coverage to 44% of available core under NI 43-101 compliant QA/QC protocols to refine stockpile estimates and validate mineralization data.
