OWL•Blue Owl sees stronger institutional fundraising ahead
NEW YORK, July 30 (Reuters) - Private credit firm Blue Owl expects fundraising from institutions to be better in the second half of the year than in the first six months, Chief Financial Officer Alan Kirshenbaum said on Thursday.
Institutional investors, who typically include pension funds, endowments and other large groups, invested $5.9 billion in Blue Owl's strategies in the second quarter, a touch below $7.6 billion in the same period of the previous year. Wealthy individuals, meanwhile, committed just $1.7 billion, a drop of more than half from the same period of the previous year.
