Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg announced that monthly 737 production will increase from 42 to 47 units after consulting the FAA. The ramp-up, set to begin this quarter, aims to clear order backlogs faster, accelerate airline deliveries and strengthen cash flow.
2. Air China Cargo Orders Four More A350 Freighters
Air China Cargo has placed a firm order for four additional Airbus A350 freighters, raising its total A350F commitment to ten aircraft. These new freighters for long-haul routes heighten pressure on Boeing’s yet-to-launch 777-8 freighter in the widebody cargo market.
