BA•Boeing is expected to report quarterly revenue of $23.84 billion and an adjusted loss of $0.21 per share. Investors are likely to focus on its delivery outlook after a supplier dispute reportedly halted 777 freighter production for nearly two months and disrupted 767 output.
1. Results due Tuesday
Boeing is scheduled to report quarterly results before the bell Tuesday. Analysts expect revenue of $23.84 billion, up 2% from $23.27 billion a year earlier, and an adjusted loss of $0.21 per share versus a loss of $7.47 per share.
2. Production and deliveries
A dispute with a small Florida-based supplier has reportedly halted production of Boeing’s 777 freighter for nearly two months and disrupted 767 output. On October 20, the FAA certified the 737 MAX 10, the largest version of Boeing’s best-selling jet, clearing the way for deliveries.
3. Recent performance
In the prior quarter, Boeing posted a wider-than-expected loss due to program costs but generated positive free cash flow as 737 production ramped up. Its shares had fallen 13% year to date, while the Dow was up roughly 9%.
