The Small Diameter Bomb is a precision-guided munition capable of striking targets over 40 miles away when launched from fighter aircraft, offering high accuracy with a reduced footprint. Its range and guidance systems enhance strike options in contested environments.

This represents at least the third known Israeli purchase of the munition, following plans to acquire 2,166 units in February 2025 and an accelerated shipment of about 1,000 bombs after October 2023 attacks. Repeated orders highlight sustained demand for precision weapons.
