BondBloxx to Liquidate Seven High-Yield Bond Sector ETFs by May 15

PCMMPCMM

BondBloxx plans to close and liquidate seven USD high-yield sector bond ETFs on May 15, 2026, ceasing creation orders and ending NYSE Arca trading that day. Investors holding shares after market close on May 15 will receive cash equal to net asset value on liquidation date May 29, 2026.

1. ETF Liquidation Details

BondBloxx will close and liquidate seven USD high-yield bond sector ETFs—including consumer cyclicals, industrial, energy, financial & REIT, healthcare, telecom/media/technology, and consumer non-cyclicals—after market close on May 15, 2026. Creation orders will no longer be accepted after that date, and trading on NYSE Arca will end.

2. Cash Distribution and Timing

Shareholders who do not sell or redeem shares before market close on May 15 will automatically receive cash equal to the net asset value of their holdings in their brokerage accounts on or about the liquidation date of May 29, 2026.

3. Tax Considerations for Shareholders

While the fund liquidations themselves are not expected to trigger taxable events at the fund level, shareholders in taxable accounts will generally treat the automatic redemption on May 29 as a sale, resulting in potential capital gains or losses for U.S. federal income tax purposes.
