Boston Properties announced that Starr, a global investment and insurance organization, has signed a 20-year lease for approximately 275,000 square feet at 343 Madison Avenue, a 930,000 square foot office tower currently under construction in Midtown Manhattan. Starr will occupy floors 16 through 25, gaining direct access to Grand Central’s Madison Concourse between 44th and 45th Street. This commitment represents nearly 30% of the building’s total area and underscores strong institutional demand for trophy office space in New York. The long-term lease is expected to drive occupancy at 343 Madison to stabilization upon delivery in late 2026 and bolster BXP’s portfolio weighted average lease term, enhancing predictable cash flows for shareholders.
