Boston Scientific names Joseph Fitzgerald as COO, effective Jan. 1, 2027
BSX•Boston Scientific named Joseph M. Fitzgerald executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1, 2027. He will oversee global operations, business units and regions as the company shifts to three reporting segments.
1. Leadership and segments
Fitzgerald previously served as executive vice president and group president, Cardiovascular. From Jan. 1, Boston Scientific will report through Interventional Therapies, led by Lance Bates; Rhythm Solutions, led by Nick Spadea-Anello; and MedSurg, led by Stephen Morse, who will also lead Asia Pacific.
