BP said representatives from its 440,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Whiting, Indiana, offered to meet United Steelworkers Local 7-1 next week but had yet to receive confirmation from the union. The company said it provided revised contract language addressing union concerns at its October 26 negotiating session and had expected the union to bring revised language, but it did not.
