The FTSE 100 opened down 44 points at 10,623, pressured by 3.4% slides in Antofagasta, 2.9% in Fresnillo and 2.8% in IAG as miners, builders and airlines underperformed.
2. BP and Shell Outperform
BP shares climbed around 2.5% in early London trading, making it one of the top gainers alongside Shell, which also rose roughly 2.5% amid defensive buying.
