Atlantis expansion starts up
BP started up the Atlantis Major Facility Expansion project in the US Gulf of America, extending the producing life of the offshore Atlantis field.
The expansion adds two new subsea water injection wells to boost reservoir pressure, targeting incremental barrels from existing infrastructure.
Production impact and delivery
The project adds about 10,000 boe/d of gross peak annualized average production, about 5,000 boe/d net to BP.
It was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget, supporting BP’s strategy to lift US offshore output through 2030.
