BrasilAgro forecasts 2026/27 grain and cotton output at 452,900 tons, up 6%

For sugarcane in 2026, BrasilAgro projects 2,151,988 tons harvested, down 1%.
The company said a milling slowdown postponed about 280,000 tons into later quarters.
Crop mix shifts and area changes
Crop mix shifts under a strong El Niño outlook:
- First-crop cotton area is cut 70%.
- Second-crop beans are discontinued.
- Soybean area is down 5%.
- First-crop corn area is planned up 22%.
- Second-crop cotton area is up 36%, mainly irrigated.
- Pasture area is up 21% to 10,732 hectares.
2026/2027 production outlook
BrasilAgro set its initial 2026/2027 outlook with total production of grains and cotton seen at 452,900 tons, up 6% from 2025/2026.
Total planted area is forecast at 165,208 hectares, down 1% from 166,995 hectares in 2025/2026.
