Braskem says it faces a court-ordered 60-day suspension of creditor enforcement actions in a São Paulo urgent precautionary case tied to its capital-structure talks.
The company said it is in mediation with invited creditors while exchanging non-binding restructuring proposals that include possible capitalization and pledging assets as collateral.
CVM seeks clarification on creditor-security report
Brazil’s securities regulator CVM requested clarification on a report that creditors are seeking all company assets as security in exchange for new funding.
Braskem said the terms remain under review, with no decision on restructuring conditions as of July 28, 2026.
