Braveheart Bio's HRS/BHB-1893 improves exercise capacity in 52-week Phase 2 extension study
BRVE•Braveheart Bio and Hengrui Pharma presented 52-week Phase 2 extension results for HRS/BHB-1893, reporting improved exercise capacity and symptoms in obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. No severe or serious on-treatment adverse events occurred.
1. Extension study results
The companies presented 52-week Phase 2 extension results for HRS/BHB-1893 at the AHA Scientific Sessions on November 6, 2026. Treatment improved exercise capacity and symptoms in obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, with sustained reductions in blood-flow obstruction. Two patients had transient reductions in heart-pumping function and resumed treatment at lower doses.
2. Next study planned
Separate exploratory analyses suggested improved heart relaxation and filling in non-obstructive disease while preserving pumping function. A planned fixed-dose Phase 2b study, TRUEHEART-HCM, will evaluate treatment in obstructive disease.
