BRASILIA, July 16 (Reuters) - Brazil's Trade Minister Marcio Elias Rosa said on Thursday that around 18% of the country's exports to the United States, or about $7 billion, will be affected by new 25% U.S. tariffs to be imposed next week.
The Brazilian government has a priority to help affected sectors, he said at a press conference, adding the timber, machinery, furniture and footwear sectors are among the most affected by the higher U.S. levies.
