BRASILIA, July 15 (Reuters) - Brazil's Finance Minister Dario Durigan said on Wednesday that the government will carefully assess sectors affected by potential U.S. tariffs and consider measures to shield the population while maintaining its commitment to fiscal discipline.
"The Brazilian government will not leave farmers, businesses or Brazilian families on their own," Durigan told reporters, noting that he had not yet received any updates regarding the tariffs.
