Brazil's IBC-Br economic activity index down 0.6% in June

BRASILIA, Aug. 17 (Reuters) - Economic activity in Brazil fell by a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in June from the previous month, a central bank index showed on Monday, while the median forecast in a Reuters poll of economists pointed to a 0.53% contraction.
The performance led the IBC-Br index, seen as a proxy for the gross domestic product, to post 0.2% growth in the second quarter from the previous three-month period.
