BOGOTA, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Brazilian asset manager Patria Investments PAX.O and the Colombian branch of investment manager Ashmore Group ASHM.L said on Monday they sold a solar power plant to electricity firm Isagen, primarily owned by Brookfield Renewable BEP.N.
The plant, called Puerta de Oro and located in central Colombia, has an installed capacity of 360 MWp, with more than 511,000 modules distributed over 530 hectares.
- The companies declined to disclose the sale price of the solar park.
- The project has an estimated generation capacity of 728 GWh of clean energy per year, which is equivalent to the consumption of more than 390,000 homes.
- "Puerta de Oro represents a success story for Patria and reflects our ability to identify opportunities, structure and develop high-impact infrastructure assets and generate value throughout their entire investment cycle," Pablo Cano, CEO of Infrastructure at Patria Investments, said in a statement.
- Camilo Marulanda, president of Isagen, said in a statement that adding Puerta de Oro to the firm's portfolio represents a significant step towards the goal of adding an additional 1,000 MW of solar energy in the coming years.
- BNP Paribas BNPP.PA was an advisor during the transaction.
