Brent Posts 20% Annual Decline, Prices Edge Higher After Ukrainian Drone Attacks
Brent futures posted their largest annual decline since 2020, falling nearly 20% in 2025 after three straight annual losses. Prices ticked up in early 2026 as Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil facilities and a U.S. blockade on Venezuelan exports tightened supply against OPEC+ output increases.
