BrenX Tempo project steam output reaches about 85 tons per operating day, above base case
BRNX•BrenX’s 32 MWh thermal energy storage system at Tempo Beverages produced about 85 tons of steam per operating day during commissioning, above a baseline of about 70 tons. Tempo’s demand is about 90–100 tons per operating day, and construction has begun on a separate system at Wolfson Medical Center.
1. Tempo system output
BrenX said its 32 MWh thermal energy storage system at Tempo Beverages reached approximately 85 tons of steam per operating day during commissioning. That exceeded the project’s financial-model baseline of about 70 tons per day under its minimum contracted take-or-pay commitment.
2. Additional project
Tempo’s steam demand totals approximately 90–100 tons per operating day, creating potential revenue above the project’s original financial model. The system targets full replacement of Tempo’s steam demand, but sustained operating performance remains unconfirmed. Construction has begun on a 12 MWh thermal energy storage system at Wolfson Medical Center to replace fuel-oil boilers.
