BridgeBio Pharma published a medical research presentation detailing 24-week results from the phase 3 CALIBRATE trial of encaleret in autosomal dominant hypocalcemia type 1. The composite serum and urinary calcium endpoint was achieved by 76% of encaleret recipients versus 19% receiving standard care (p<0.0001). Mean eGFR increased by 11 mL/min/1.73 m² with encaleret versus 3 mL/min/1.73 m² with standard care.
2. Safety findings
Serious treatment-emergent adverse events occurred in 9% of encaleret recipients versus 14% receiving standard care. No treatment-emergent adverse events led to encaleret discontinuation during randomized treatment.
