- "There is no deal between AstraZeneca and BMS. There never was a deal to be done, and there are no discussions between the companies," said the source.
- Reuters had earlier reported that initial discussions had taken place, but it was unclear whether talks were still ongoing.
- UK-listed shares of AstraZeneca AZN.L rose 4.5% to £122.58 ($165.13).
- As of the last close, BMY was up 22.2% year to date.
