British American Tobacco bought back 636,000 ordinary shares from UBS between July 20 and July 24.
Prices ranged from 4,460p to 4,694p per share; the company will cancel the repurchased shares.
The issued share count will be 2.16 billion, excluding treasury shares; treasury shares will total 132.65 million.
