1. Contract Award and Scope

Broadcom partnered with Carahsoft to secure a five-year, $970 million agreement with the Defense Information Systems Agency. The deal covers private cloud infrastructure deployments for DISA, Fourth Estate agencies and U.S. Air and Space Forces under a standardized procurement framework.

2. VMware Cloud Foundation Deployment

At the core of the contract is VMware Cloud Foundation, a unified private cloud platform supporting traditional, cloud-native and AI workloads. The deployment embeds Kubernetes for container orchestration and Private AI services to simplify secure application delivery in a single environment.

3. Security and Cost Benefits

The platform accelerates Zero Trust adoption by standardizing security implementation across agencies. Internal analysis projects cost reductions versus legacy three-tier data centers and native public cloud offerings, driven by consolidated procurement, streamlined operations and improved transparency.
